In arrivo il film in computer graphic di Goldrake e Mazinga?
Non voglio iniziare questo articolo con il solito "chi era ragazzino negli anni settanta" o " chi ha almeno trent'anni ricorderà..." però ... beh.. mette male cominciare in un altro modo!!!
Insomma i robottoni di Go Nagai ce li ricordiamo tutti, almeno i più famosi: Goldrake (Grendizer) Mazinga (Mazinger) e Jeeg.
Alla fine degli anni settanta per gli adolescenti italiani hanno rappresentato più di una semplice passione ma una vera e propria rivoluzione culturale.
L'influenza di questi personaggi così diversi dagli archetipi supereroistici occidentali è evidente ancora al giorno d'oggi, nella pubblicità, nella musica e persino nell'elezione del nuovo pontefice.
Il giappone continua a sfornare anime (è il termine tecnico per questo genere di cartoni animati), ma pochi possono contare sul fattore imprinting avuto da ragazzi. Certo, Mazinkaiser ha fatto venire le lacrime agli occhi a più di una persona, ma Goldrake e i due Mazinga originali erano un'altra cosa.
La rete è indubbiamente territorio di caccia dei fan, si trovano ovunque siti che ospitano centinaia di disegni e animazioni di eroi vecchi e nuovi, copiati ed originali.
Ma cosa succede se un gruppo di fan solo poco più organizzati e con un bagaglio tecnico non indifferente si riuniscono? Possono nascere piccoli gioielli che commuoverebbero anche il maestro Go Nagai in persona.
L'idea di realizzare un "remake in CG" di Goldrake era venuta nel 2003 al GTGroup, sul loro sito si possono vedere immagini davvero impressionanti di diversi personaggi correlati al robot nagaiano più amato nel mondo, compresa una realizzazione superba del titanico difensore della terra e del suo disco, lo spazer.
Però il sito non è più stato aggiornato da anni e temo che il progetto di realizzazione di un episodio pilota di Goldrake sia oramai abbandonato. [ABBANDONATO UN CORNO! Andate a vedere come procedono i lavori sul nuovo sito!]
Di recente mi sono imbattuto in un nuovo promettente lavoro, quello del C4DTeam ancora una volta un gruppo di ragazzi italiani accomunati dalla passione per il software di rendering Cinema 4D XL e per le avventure del principe di Fleed sul nostro verde pianeta.
Il loro sito è spettacolare anche se un pochino disorientante da fruire, almeno all'inizio, ed è così carico di contenuti da constringermi a consigliarvi di dedicare almeno una mezz'ora ad una calma navigazione.
Vi avverto non c'è Goldrake, né Mazinga, almeno non ancora, ma ci sono i soldati di Vega, migliaia di soldati che avanzano sui loro minidischi di scorta ad una gigantesca nave sigariforme.
Ciò che vi aspetta è un'infinità di immagini statiche, ed un ottimo teaser animato (che fa ben sperare sul progresso del lavoro) che ci catapultano in uno scenario da film anni 80 sul genere "Tutti Vs il Dragosauro".
Un agguerito Koji Kabuto (il pilota di Mazinga Z ma anche di Goldrake 2 sotto lo ... ehm... pseudonimo di "Alcor") atterra sul centro di ricerche spaziali con un aereo che ricorda da vicino il veicolo di mille battaglie a fianco di Actarus , mentre le truppe di Vega mettono a ferro e fuoco la città.
L'ottima realizzazione tecnica per quando riguarda navi e strutture (ancora un pò rigidi i personaggi umani) lascia trasparire una dedizione che travalica la mera passione.
Speriamo che questi ragazzi riescano a portare a termine il loro lavoro nel minor tempo possibile e possano regalarci tutte le emozioni che il loro sito promette.
Un solo appunto.. sono rimasto un pò deluso dal vedere Tokyo (presumibilmente) così mal ridotta e non sentire le note di "Tobe Grendizer!" di sottofondo, a farmi capire che per il genere umano c'è ancora speranza...
Ma forse è meglio così, è solo un teaser, neppure un trailer, serve solo ad incuriosirci e a dimostrare che fanno sul serio. Per la riscossa c'è ancora tempo.
