Ed ora un po' di sana blasfemia!

La H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society ha prodotto due meraviglie musicali: una coppia di CD di canzoni "natalizie" ma dedicati a divinità meno rassicuranti del neonato Salvatore, che rispondono ai nomi di Shub-Niggurath, Yog-Sothoth, Azathoth e ovviamente, l'onnipresente Cthulhu.

I due CD, A Very Scary Solstice e An Even Scarier Solstice, sono capolavori che non si limitano a sostituire "Merry Christmas" con "Scary Solstice" nei canti tradizionali, ma presentano testi che non potranno che esaltare gli amanti delle opere dello scrittore di Providence.

E' con preoccupante naturalezza che "Joy to the World" diventa "Death to the World"; "Jingle Bells" si trasforma in "Cthulhu lives" ed in "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" il simpatico portatore di regali viene divorato e sostituito dall'agglomerato bubbonico e divino noto come Yog-Sothoth.
