CES 2007 – Il lato oscuro ce lo racconta l'EFF: DRM, interoperabilità, fruizione dei media digitali
Il CES non è solo musica a volume impossibile e grandi annunci, purtroppo è anche la conferma di un gran brutto trend: il DRM continua ad essere una priorità, i vari dispositivi non sono interoperabili e i formati incompatibili tra loro.
Se siete sensibili a questi argomenti, vi consiglio di ascoltare l'ultimo numero di EFF Line Noise, il podcast della Electronic Frontier Foundation, l'associazione per la tutela dei diritti digitali più importante e attiva nel mondo (principalmente negli States).
Il CES visto dalla EFF è un misto di entusiasmo per i prodotti che facilitano la fruizione digitale, ma anche rassegnazione al postulato delle case di produzione: "per vedere la stesso show su dieci piattaforme diverse, deve essere acquistato dieci volte".

Beh, con il copyleft piegare le leggi del copyright al fine di salvaguardare il software libero ha funzionato, se un brevetto software ci salverà dal DRM… ben venga, anche se rimane la bruttura digitale che più mi spaventa.
