Fanatici dei B-Movies anni 50, prestate bene attenzione.
Un esperimento unico nel suo genere è stato portato a termine e, cosa incredibile, ha avuto successo.
Spiegare questo processo di arcana alchimia cinematografica non è cosa semplice.
Prendete la donna alta 50 piedi, il mostro della laguna nera, il Dottor K, Blob, un adorabile Kaiju e frullate il tutto. Allungate questo pappone mostruoso in modo da renderlo appetitoso anche per chi è nato 40 anni dopo le pietre miliari citate qui sopra, infine condite il tutto con tecnologia di proiezione 3D digitale di ultima generazione. Scagliate il risultato contro l'invasore alieno di turno.
Mostri contro Alieni non è solo un riuscito melting pot del decennio d'oro della cinematografia Sci-Fi made in USA, ma un film che riesce ad essere fresco, divertentissimo e spettacolare anche per chi non sa cogliere i numerosi riferimenti ai grandi classici, per motivi di gusto o semplicemente anagrafici.
Consigliato senza riserve in versione bidimensionale, Mostri contro Alieni è anche il mio primo film visto al cinema ad adottare la moderna tecnologia digitale RealD, finalmente sbarcata anche a Genova. RealD unisce la prassi vetusta delle lenti polarizzate (vidi lo Squalo 3 in un normale cinema di Savona già nel 1983, ma quella di RealD è una versione riveduta e corretta) con la proiezione digitale 3D da un unico dispositivo in grado di fornire un frame rate doppio (48 fotogrammi/s) con notevole riduzione dei costi rispetto alla tradizionale richiesta di due proiettori.
L'intero film è in 3D e la visione è molto confortevole, solo nelle scene più concitate si può avvertire un leggero sfarfallio nei personaggi in primo piano (che in questo caso sono quelli "fuori dallo schermo").
Insomma che aspettate?
