Jerry goes to PDC

Annunciata da tempo, attesa da tutte le persone che gli vogliono bene, ed ora finalmente confermata.

Sto parlando della presenza da Jerry Pournelle al Microsoft Professional Developers Conference, l'importante conferenza di Los Angeles per gli sviluppatori Microsoft.

Ieri sul suo blog, Jerry ha inserito un post dedicato alla sua partecipazione come spettatore all'evento.

Per chi ha seguito gli ultimi, difficili mesi di Jerry, questa partecipazione rappresenta un po' il ritorno alla normalità per il giornalista/scrittore, e ci permette di tirare tutti un respiro di sollievo.

Leo ha promesso uno speciale dedicato al PDC, nel quale sono stati presentati Windows Azure, il sistema operativo per Cloud Computing e Windows 7, cioè Windows Vista, ma migliore... ; - ), e questa trasmissione rappresenterà il ritorno di Jerry tra gli amici di Twit, dopo la malattia.

    Conosco anche io poco Jerry ma sono contento si sia rimesso. L’ultima volta che era apparso su TWIT aveva una voce da spavento.. Cmq di questi tempi, grandi personaggi o meno, fa sempre piacere sentire di qualcuno che ha sconfitto il suo cancro. Sono davvero impaziente di sentire le impressioni di Jerry su quanto ha detto MS a proposito di Windows 7 perché Ballmer mi ha davvero sconvolto – vi prego non ditemi che aggiungeranno ancora un altro layer al WindowsPancake!
